Ship Visit Norwegian Spirit (2017)

La Ship Visit sulla Norwegian Spirit, nel 2017, è stata per me un vero battesimo nel mondo delle visite a bordo: era la prima volta che ricevevo un invito del genere e l’emozione era palpabile già nei giorni precedenti. La Norwegian Spirit è una nave costruita nel 1998, capace di ospitare circa 2.000 passeggeri, ma nonostante la sua “età”, al momento della mia visita era tutto tranne che una nave vecchia o trascurata.

Ricordo ancora la sensazione di salire a bordo, di percorrere i ponti e di essere subito avvolto da un’atmosfera internazionale, elegante ma mai eccessiva.

Gli ambienti interni mi hanno colpito per la loro cura: sale luminose, spazi comuni ben tenuti, bar accoglienti e una varietà di aree dedicate al relax o al divertimento.

Le piscine e il casinò erano già allora punti di ritrovo vivaci, mentre la ristorazione offriva molte alternative per tutti i gusti, dai buffet informali ai ristoranti più eleganti. Nonostante nel 2017 la nave non fosse ancora stata ristrutturata – il grande restyling sarebbe arrivato solo nel 2020 – la sensazione era quella di trovarsi su una nave moderna, curata e in grado di offrire tutti i comfort che ci si aspetta da una compagnia come Norwegian Cruise Line.

Mi piacerebbe davvero tornare a bordo della Norwegian Spirit, magari dopo la ristrutturazione, per scoprire come sia cambiata e vivere di nuovo quelle emozioni che solo una nave così ricca di storia e dettagli sa regalare. Se avrò la fortuna di farlo, scriverò sicuramente un articolo dedicato per raccontare tutte le novità!

My ship visit aboard Norwegian Spirit in 2017 was truly a milestone for me—it was the very first time I’d ever been invited for such an experience, and the excitement started building days in advance. Norwegian Spirit, built in 1998 and accommodating around 2,000 guests, may not be the newest ship at sea, but during my visit, it didn’t feel “old” or dated at all.

I still remember the thrill of stepping on board, wandering through the decks, and immediately being wrapped up in an international, stylish—but never overwhelming—atmosphere. The interiors impressed me with their attention to detail: bright lounges, well-kept public spaces, cozy bars, and a great variety of areas for both relaxation and entertainment.
The pools and the casino were already lively gathering spots, and dining options ranged from casual buffets to more elegant restaurants—something for everyone. Even though the ship hadn’t yet undergone its 2020 refurbishment, it felt modern, well-maintained, and equipped with all the comforts you’d expect from Norwegian Cruise Line.

I’d love to return to the Norwegian Spirit, especially after its renovation, to see how it’s changed and to relive those special emotions that only a ship with so much history and character can offer. If I get the chance, I’ll definitely write a dedicated article to share all the updates!
