Magica Roma!

Non so quante volte sono stato a Roma nella mia vita, ho perso il conto, ma so che Roma non è mai troppa, perché ogni volta che ci torno riesce sempre a darmi qualcosa di nuovo, una sensazione, un angolo mai visto, una luce diversa su qualcosa che pensavo di conoscere già.

Quando ci andavo le prime volte non avevo ancora un canale YouTube né una buona fotocamera, quindi molti ricordi sono rimasti solo nella mia testa, ma forse è stato un bene, perché Roma è una città da vivere davvero, non solo da fotografare.

Una cosa che ho sempre apprezzato è quanto sia intuitiva da girare, la metro è ben organizzata e le fermate ti portano esattamente dove vuoi andare, con nomi che coincidono con i luoghi da visitare, tipo Colosseo, Spagna, Ottaviano, Barberini, quindi anche chi arriva per la prima volta riesce a muoversi senza troppi pensieri.

Roma è cultura, buon cibo, bellezza, storia, ma anche caos, energia e spontaneità, è una città che riesce ad adattarsi a chi la visita, che tu stia cercando arte, vita notturna o solo un posto dove camminare ore senza una meta precisa.

Le serate lungo il Tevere sono uno dei miei momenti preferiti, soprattutto d’estate, quando si riempie di localini, osterie, eventi, musica dal vivo e una quantità incredibile di gente che si gode la città in modo semplice e autentico, magari seduta su una panchina con un bicchiere di vino.

Il centro storico è un museo a cielo aperto, dal Colosseo a Fontana di Trevi, da Piazza Venezia a Via del Corso fino a Piazza di Spagna, tutto è lì e tutto è sempre pieno di persone che si mescolano tra turisti e romani, e ogni angolo sembra un set cinematografico che non ha bisogno di filtri.

Dentro Roma c’è anche uno stato, il Vaticano, che da solo merita una visita intera, con i suoi musei, la Cappella Sistina e l’atmosfera unica che si respira tra spiritualità e meraviglia artistica, un luogo che resta impresso anche se non sei particolarmente religioso.

Se ti va di uscire dai percorsi più turistici puoi andare a Cinecittà e visitare gli storici studi del cinema italiano, che raccontano un altro lato della città, meno conosciuto ma interessante, e lì vicino trovi anche un grande centro commerciale perfetto per una pausa.

L’estate a Roma può essere dura per via del caldo, tanto che molti romani si spostano al mare, soprattutto a Ostia, dove ci sono stabilimenti, spiagge libere e i famosi cancelli, accessi numerati alle spiagge che in certi giorni sembrano infinite, e tra queste c’è anche una delle spiagge naturiste più note d’Italia.

Roma è una città che ti entra dentro lentamente ma profondamente, non importa quante volte ci sei stato, quando te ne vai ti manca, e quando ci torni ti sembra di non essertene mai allontanato davvero.

Magic Rome

I’ve been to Rome more times than I can count and honestly I’ve stopped trying because Rome is never too much and no matter how often you go there’s always something new to see or a familiar place that feels different depending on your mood or the season.

Back when I first started visiting I didn’t have a YouTube channel or a proper camera so most of the memories stayed in my head but in a way that made it even more special because Rome is one of those cities you need to experience without distractions.

It’s also a very intuitive city to explore thanks to a metro system that works well and station names that match exactly the main attractions so you know where to get off and you end up right in front of places like the Colosseum Spanish Steps or Trevi Fountain.

Rome means culture good food history and nightlife all at once it adapts to your pace and offers something for everyone whether you’re looking for art traditional cuisine a casual evening walk or just a full day of getting lost in its streets.

Evenings by the Tiber are one of the things I love most especially in summer when the riverside fills with bars markets live music and young people enjoying life with a drink and some good company under the open sky.

The historic center is like a giant open-air museum with the Colosseum Trevi Fountain Piazza Venezia Via del Corso and so many iconic places all close to each other and full of energy both from tourists and locals who actually live the city every day.

Then there’s the Vatican a city within the city with its impressive museums and the Sistine Chapel that attracts people from all over the world and whether you’re religious or not it’s something you need to see at least once in your life.

If you want a change of pace you can go to Cinecittà and visit the legendary Italian film studios and nearby there’s also a big shopping center with the same name which is perfect if you want a break from sightseeing without leaving the city.

Summer in Rome can be tough because of the heat so locals often go to the sea especially to Ostia where you’ll find beaches both free and private and the famous numbered gates called cancelli that lead to the shore including one of Italy’s most popular naturist beaches.

Rome isn’t just a destination it’s a feeling and every time you go back it feels like you never left.
