In August 2023 I had the incredible opportunity to visit San Lorenzo Bellizzi, a charming village of only 500 inhabitants nestled among the hills of Calabria where time seems to have stopped. This experience was made even more unforgettable by attending Adriano Pappalardo's concert in the square. The cobbled streets and stone houses transported me back in time, while the vibrant atmosphere of the square welcomed me with open arms. The energy and enthusiasm in the heart of San Lorenzo Bellizzi were palpable. The locals gathered in the square, animated by the anticipation of the evening concert, and as I strolled among the stalls, I could sense the strong connection that bound the community together. Then finally, the long-awaited moment arrived. Adriano Pappalardo took to the stage, and the audience welcomed his return with thunderous applause. It was a concert that touched the heartstrings, bringing people together in a moment of joy and sharing. The melodies echoed among the ancient walls of the village, creating a magical and unforgettable atmosphere. After the concert, as I walked away from the starlit square, I carried with me the warmth and hospitality of San Lorenzo Bellizzi in my heart.
