Agrigento is... I don't know! It's not really a city, there is no center and a suburb! Agrigento is a "satellite city" and the various "neighborhoods" are connected by a state road so it is different from all the other cities in Sicily. Apart from that, the province of Agrigento is very large and it is essential to have a car to be able to drive. It's actually a destination that disappointed me a lot, you can find out why by reading the dedicated article! I moved a lot in the farm, even arriving at the border with the province of Trapani!
I first visited the historic center of Agrigento which is really beautiful and very well-kept (too bad that walking through the streets of the center it seemed to be in a ghost town), another thing that should be seen is the Turkish staircase which is beautiful (too bad you can't climb), even the valley of the temples deserves a mention and a thorough visit perhaps with a I also visited the Torre Salsa nature reserve (well there are also some absurd limitations) but the beach is beautiful and very large. Finally I visited Seccagrande and Ribera and to my amazement I found a wonderful village full of friendly people, in the evening there were many bars on the waterfront with music and people dancing in the street (which becomes a pedestrian area), a real pearl of Sicily!
